Proctor Wins Fourth Straight SCORE Baja 500

Jeff Proctor triumphed at the 53rd SCORE Baja 500, taking first place in Class 7 for a fourth consecutive Baja 500 win.

Riding Maxxis’ Razr MT tires, Proctor and co-driver Pat Dailey finished in 12:11:11.545 and were 27th overall. “It was one of those days where we perfectly executed our plan as a team,” said Proctor. “We did a lot of pre-running, we knew our lines, and we knew that going up over Mike’s Sky Ranch (race mile 150) was going to be tough. There were bottlenecks up there, but we managed to go through them with ease, and I can’t thank my navigator enough.”

“When we got the truck to Pat at race mile 310, we had a 70-mile lead. Pat just put it on cruise mode, conserved the truck, and here we are. It was definitely a team effort; our guys were on fire in the pits. It’s a special victory for our team. It’s our fourth-straight SCORE Baja 500 win. It feels extra special. These are hard to get.”

“This Baja 500 was absolutely brutal, it was worse than I had ever seen it before. We threw everything we had at it and couldn’t be happier with the way these new 40” Maxxis Razr MTs held up to the task. We had zero flats all day and enough traction to get us through the grueling 466-mile course without a single issue.”

The Class 7 win wasn’t the only highlight of the weekend for Proctor’s team. Zach Sizelove’s Honda Talon, outfitted with Razr XT tires, took second place in Pro UTV, finishing in 12:19:48.993. “I’ve never been more impressed with a tire than I am of this 32” Maxxis Razr XT,” said Sizelove. “I couldn’t believe the things that we hit throughout the day, and these tires just kept taking it. We finished on the same set of tires that we started with, and I’m confident that we could do it all over again. They are absolutely unbelievable.”
