Summerhill Takes Maxxis-Shimano’s 1st Victory

Danny Summerhill outperformed his competitors on Day 2 of the U.S. Open of Cyclocross, earning the first-ever victory for theMaxxis-Shimano Cycling Team. The races were held October 17-18 in Boulder, Colorado.

After finishing just two seconds behind the first-place rider on the first day of the Open, Summerhill took the win the following day. He posted a winning time of 56:14, marking the first victory for Maxxis-Shimano in their rookie year.

Summerhill wasn’t the only Maxxis-sponsored rider to top the podium at the Open. Like her Maxxis-Shimano counterpart, Georgia Gould of the Luna Pro Team took second place at the initial race before going on to win the next day. Gould’s victory in the women’s race was decisive; she crossed the finish line in 47:53, 1 minute and 11 seconds before the next rider.

Maxxis congratulates these two outstanding riders on their victories and thanks them for choosing the brand of champions.
