Assistant Engineer (Suwanee, GA)

Maxxis International, the U.S. division of a global tire manufacturer headquartered in Suwanee, GA, has a challenging opportunity for an Assistant Engineer at Maxxis Technology Center. This outstanding career opportunity is for an individual with excellent computer skills, solid verbal and written communications skills, is a team player and has a strong desire to excel. 

Responsibilities:

  • Be involved with Passenger Car Radial/Light Truck (PCR/LT) and/or other tire development projects
  • Coordinate and participate in the PCR/LT tire testing program conducted in North America
  • Plan and schedule PCR/LT tire-related road tests and complete associated reports
  • Communicate road test progress with riders, marketing/sales and Research & Design (R&D) headquarters
  • Be involved with tire performance-related research programs and test development to evaluate tire performance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil or Chemical engineering required
  • PCR/LT tire knowledge required
  • Experience using CAD or CAE is preferred

Materials Control Coordinator (Suwanee, GA)

Maxxis International-USA, a leader in the high-performance tire industry, has an exciting opportunity to be a Materials Control Coordinator for our Materials Control Department in Suwanee, GA.  If you have an analytical mind and would enjoy working with the international logistics process then we've got the opportunity for you. Learn our industry and different aspects of our operation from a fast-growing company in a corporate environment.

The primary function of this role is to facilitate the document process associated with the purchase and import of products from overseas manufacturers.  In this role, you will learn the basic skills associated with managing client supply chain expectations to contribute to the success of the department.

Responsibilities: 

  • Process purchase orders and import documents in SAP ERP System
  • Work closely with overseas factories to ensure orders are fulfilled
  • Complete the Importer Security Filing with U.S. Customs Broker
  • Track shipments and resolve delivery issues
  • Special projects as assigned to support the department

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Logistics experience or logistics coursework in college preferred
  • Experience working with SAP ERP preferred

Business Development Specialist (Suwanee, GA)

Maxxis International USA, a leader in the high-performance tire industry, is looking for a Business Development Specialist for our Business Development Department located in Suwanee, GA. If you are passionate about working in a dynamic international business environment, then we’ve got the job for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing new Original Equipment (OE) business
  • Conduct research for projects for current and prospective customers
  • Regularly update and prepare documents for forecasts and status updates
  • Create professional correspondences and documents, including some legal documents

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or a related field required
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a comparable OEM business development role required
  • At least two (2) years of project management experience required
  • Experience working in the tire, moto/ATV, automotive, or related industry preferred

The Business Development Specialist must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, have strong analytical and organizational skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong analysis and judgment skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are required, as well as a high level of attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects is essential. Domestic travel is required, and the availability to travel to Canada and Mexico, if needed, is also required.

Section Manager (Suwanee, GA)

Maxxis International USA is looking for a Section Manager for the Tire Design & Development Group at our Technology Center in Suwanee, GA.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in and support for tire development projects
  • Mentor the efforts of engineers by providing advice, direction, and training
  • Conduct technical design reviews that are data-driven and use analytical tools and problem-solving techniques
  • Provide leadership for the establishment of tire performance standards and tire development process standards
  • Research respective market and help determine strategy for the business plan
  • Ensure project milestones are achieved

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Material engineering required
  • Ten (10) years of tire industry experience required
  • Experience managing the work of others required

Outside Sales Representative - Auto (Suwanee, GA)

Maxxis sales reps are self-motivated sales professionals with strong relationship building skills who aggressively grow our revenues in new markets as well as maintain our current customer base. Consistently identify revenue opportunities and follow-up on leads. Develop business plans for assigned accounts and manage projects. Ensure reporting, procedures, and communication levels are maintained within Company guidelines. Prepare sales information and materials for customers. Collaborate with development, marketing, distribution and customer service to ensure the successful coordination of customer activities.

 Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of sales experience in the automotive tire industry required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Outside sales experience preferred

Tire and Rubber Material Development and Application Engineer (Suwanee, GA)

Maxxis International-USA, a leader in the high-performance tire industry, is looking for a Tire and Rubber Material Development and Application Engineer in our Technology Center in Suwanee, GA.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and manage compounding and raw material evaluations
  • Conduct design of experiments (DOE) and analyze test results to determine conclusions of lab studies
  • Support laboratory with troubleshooting equipment and addressing maintenance issues
  • Work with lab technologists to complete material testing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Material engineering or Chemistry required
  • Two (2) years of experience in rubber compound testing and development for tire application required
  • Statistical DOE experience preferred

Senior FEA Tire Modeling Engineer (Suwanee, GA)

Maxxis International-USA has a challenging opportunity for a Senior FEA Engineer in our Technology Center located in Suwanee, GA.

Responsibilities:

  •       Develop in-house proprietary software for tire modeling
  •       Work with local and global FEA teams to provide support, results and analysis
  •       Develop FEA simulation for tire performance such as RR, tread wear and durability
  •       Participate and support OE development projects on a global level

Warehouse Supervisor (2nd Shift) - Texas

Maxxis International, the US division of a global tire manufacturer, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for our 2nd shift at our Distribution Center located in Grapevine, TX. This position will work with management to keep the work environment safe and compliant with all relevant laws and regulations. If you are passionate about working in a dynamic logistics environment, then we’ve got the job for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage warehouse operations on 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 11:00 PM), including staffing, training new hires, and assigning and managing the work of others
  • Ensure safety procedures are being followed
  • Develop shift goals and ensure goals are met each shift
  • Inspect inbound and outbound containers and prepare documentation needed for warehouse operations
  • Maintain inventory and order accuracy
  • Inspect containers for accuracy and conformance to production standards

Qualifications:

  • One year of experience managing the work of others in a warehouse environment required
  • Experience operating a forklift and the ability to be forklift certified required
  • SAP or other Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred

To be successful in the position, the Warehouse Supervisor must be able to ensure that the shift is properly staffed, team members are on task, and shift goals are being met. Candidates must be comfortable working in a tire warehouse environment with forklift and pedestrian traffic, varying temperatures, contact with tires, and use of warehouse equipment. Candidates must be able to lift 50 plus pounds and be able to make decisions quickly and confidently based on company policies and procedures. The Warehouse Supervisor must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, have strong analytical and organizational skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office. The flexibility to work well in a warehouse environment as an individual and as a team is paramount.
