Jim faced 4×4 European royalty beating the likes of fellow Maxxis team mate Rob Butler from Offroad Armoury, 3 times King of the Valleys winner Pier Acerni from ACE Racing and Axel Burman, battling hard for 2 days, overcoming obstacles and difficult stretches throughout the course.

The challenging course found Jim Marsden from Gigglepin Racing and his co-driver Helder da Rocha struggling at times as they ran into mechanical issues, but after a quick pit stop to fix the brakes they were back out on track.

After the shock of not having brakes wore off Jim and Helder pulled it back together, and with their Maxxis Trepador tyres found the grip and control they needed to successfully cross the chequered flag and take the title of King of France 2018!

Jim Marsden added: “All the drivers did superbly in those conditions, it’s a tough race but our Maxxis Trepadors gave us that bit extra over the competition to come away winning the event!”
