    Wetscream Tyre: User Reviews

Sometimes the best tyre reviews come from downhill cyclists just like you.

    Rider, ChainReactionCycles.com, July 2018:
“This tyre is unreal, I’ve read loads of reviews from people saying it’s only good in wet mud!! Well ive been using this in the dry on downhill trails over roots and rocks the grip is next level!! The rolling resistance is rubbish but who’s cares when you have so much drip and control. Mega tyre!!”

    Rider, ChainReactionCycles.com, December 2014:
“I’m amazed to see how well these tyres perform. In the mud they never seem to slip. Even wet and muddy roots are not a problem, directly hit, from the side parallel.. They just grip on.

Use them in the whole winter season and they work extremely well in the frozen ground as well.

Note. These tyres are 2.5″ and don’t role fast. This it what they are made for. To provide traction and safety. This is not for your average hardtail xc riders who need light weight and speed.

These tyres are heavy and grippy. The point is to get downhill though the wet forest safely.

They look awesome and I will never ride anything else in the winter forest”

    Scott Williams, MTBR.com, September 2013:
“These are the tyres to have!!!! if you ride either loam or mud then they are a valid purchase. These tyres will literally grip to anything due to them massive spikes.

These tyres are not very weighty either despite what people say and they seem to be a heck of a lot lighter than my specialized chunder summer tires ;)”

    Alexander M, MTBR.com, October 2012:
“Digs into soft soil and grass. Easier to mount on SUN Doublewide Rim for rear wheel. Good Rubber Spike Tips for traction.”

    Anonymous, MTBR.com, November 2009:
“grip, grip, grip, and more grip that’s what it’s all about!”

    Anonymous, MTBR.com, November 2009:
“These really hook up on wet roots and rocks and track well at 25 psi. They shed mud and snow better than any tire I have encountered. The sidewalls don’t flex excessively.”

    Double Down (DD)

DoubleDown (DD) is the next step in the evolution of the dual-ply tyre casing for enduro and downhill racing. Two 120 TPI casing layers reinforced with a butyl insert provide the rider with the support and protection of an MTB tyre, but in a lighter package.
