Big Weekend at the Big House
Kincaid Sweeps the Weekend at Champ Off-Road Crandon; “Jimmy Senderson” Henderson Wins Pro 4 Sunday
Keegan Kincaid capped his Cup win with a jaw-dropping final lap after sweeping the Pro 2 class at the Championship Off-Road Forest County Potawatomi Brush Run, while Jimmy Henderson is being called “Jimmy Senderson” on social media after his Pro 4 victory Sunday.
Wins in both Pro 2 races over the weekend would be reason enough for Kincaid to celebrate, but it turned out that he was just getting started. In a twist that would seem too wild for Hollywood, Kincaid’s and CJ Greaves’ vehicles were stuck together not once but twice in the final lap of the Pro 2 vs. Pro 4 race, with Kincaid finally emerging to take the win as Greaves slammed on top of the back of Kincaid’s vehicle. ““What an amazing weekend at Crandon! I’m speechless. The Maxxis RAZR AT was the traction we needed for a perfect weekend at the Big House!” Kincaid said. Kyle Chaney earned second place in the Cup race. After taking third place, Bradley Morris joined Kincaid on Saturday’s Pro 2 podium.
Jimmy Henderson chuckled at his new nickname after his impressive Pro 4 win. “I feel comfortable when I have to send it, I will,” he said in an interview after the race. “I did it a couple of years ago at Crandon; I know it’s there, I’ll test it every once in a while. I don’t do it all the time, but you need to push yourself sometimes, and you need to know it’s there. Like okay, it’s there; if I do it all the time, I’ll break the truck, but if I need it, I gotta do it.” Kyle Chaney took third place in Pro 4 Saturday
Nick Byng took his second Super Stock Truck win of the year Saturday and landed on the podium again the following day in third place. ”Today the truck was on rails and took home the win! Made a pass for the lead at halfway and never looked back. The @maxxistires were hooking up here at @crandonoffroad,” he said Saturday on Instagram.
In Sportsman SxS, young Code St. Peter won Saturday’s race and took second place the following day, with fellow Maxxis athlete Bryce Carlson in third.
