4900 victory, class wins, and podiums
Cap a strong week for Maxxis at King of the Hammers
Maxxis athletes delivered a strong performance at the 2026 King of the Hammers (KOH), highlighted by Jeff Martin’s victory in the 4900 UTV Hammers Championship and multiple standout results across the week’s toughest classes.
Martin captured the overall win in the 4900 UTV Hammers race on Maxxis Roxxzilla tires. Competing in the Open UTV class with the Blais Motorsports team, he combined grit, composure, and smart racecraft to master the brutal Johnson Valley terrain and claim the top step of the podium.
Also running Roxxzillas, Jeremy McGrath delivered one of the event’s most impressive drives, finishing ninth overall while winning the Pro Stock NA class. Competing against a field dominated by turbocharged machines, McGrath’s top-ten finish underscored both his skill and the durability of his Maxxis tires.
Maxxis athletes also led the UTV Pro Modified class, where Scott Lesage earned the win and teammate Tommy Thompson secured second, adding another strong result to the week.
Can-Am driver Hunter Miller ran near the front in the 4900 race until a steering issue ended his bid for the win. Despite heavy damage, he battled on to finish eighth in Open UTV, demonstrating the resilience required to survive one of off-road racing’s most punishing events.
Maxxis athletes set the tone early during the Desert Challenge, where Dustin Jones and Todd Zuccone each earned class podium finishes.
The results across multiple events reinforced Maxxis’ reputation for durability, performance, and consistency in the extreme conditions that define King of the Hammers.
