Maxxis’ $10,000 Final 48 Contingency Is Back for the Best in the Desert Vegas to Reno!
Amping up the rewards for athletes in Best in the Desert’s Casey Folks Vegas to Reno race, Maxxis is bringing back its Final 48 contingency program. A smash success in its first year, the Final 48 gives CASH PRIZES to athletes who are fastest in specified classes from the final pit to the finish line. Just like last year, a total of $10,000 is up for grabs!
Unlike Maxxis’ season-long contingency program, the Final 48 is open to all racers in the specified classes and is exclusive to the Vegas to Reno event. Prize amounts and classes include $500 for athletes competing in Moto Pro 30, Pro 40, Women, IM Pro and Pro Moto Ironman classes; $750 for Moto Open Pro and UTV Pro NA, Pro Stock and Pro Stock R; $1000 for UTV Pro; $1500 for 6100; and $2,000 for Trick Truck. Results will be tracked by Best in the Desert and RacingTraX.
At Vegas to Reno, Maxxis’ generosity isn’t limited to the Final 48. The company’s contingency program for athletes on its tires, widely known as among the most generous in the industry and one of the few to award cash prizes rather than merchandise, will also be available for the race.
“When we brainstormed the Final 48 contingency idea with Best in the Desert and RacingTraX for last year’s event, the idea was to show support to all racers that put so much hard work to compete in this iconic event,” said Maxxis’ Specialty Sales Manager Rick Emmert. “The Final 48 is one more way to show our company’s strong support for desert racing in all its forms, so we’re pumped to do it again. We are grateful to Best in the Desert and to RacingTraX for their assistance in making this work. I know I speak for everyone at Maxxis when I say we can’t wait to see all the action in August!”
Be sure to stop by the Maxxis support truck to apply! Held August 13-16, Best in the Desert’s Casey Folks Vegas to Reno kicks off 50 miles north of Las Vegas and ends 50 miles south of Reno, Nevada.
