Long a supporter of athletic competition across a range of sports, Maxxis is again expanding its roster of professional sponsorships. The company has announced that it will be the exclusive tire sponsor of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team for the 2014-15 season.

As the Official Tire of the Lakers, Maxxis will receive promotional opportunities including courtside LED TV signage and a banner in the Toyota Sports Center practice arena. The company will also host a giveaway night during the season for Lakers fans, who will receive a specially prepared Maxxis/Lakers promotional item for attending.

Sponsorship of popular teams and events has been a pillar of Maxxis’ brand strategy for many years. Other teams currently sponsored by the company include the New York Yankees, Baltimore Orioles and Cincinnati Reds baseball teams; the Australian Open tennis tournament; and Liverpool FC, the globally popular British soccer team.
