The all new Minion DHX was born specifically from the demands of Maxxis’ top athletes to provide more support, more control, and more confidence on these next level modern DH race tracks.

Our engineers have been hard at work taking feedback from our athletes, improving casing structure, improving compound compositions, and improving tread layout and stability to accomplish one goal; Give the worlds fastest athletes a tire that goes as hard as they do.

With a long list of podiums in 2025/26 already, and wins by Jackson Goldstone at both 2025 Champery World Champs & Mont-Sainte-Anne World Cup, and by Luca Shaw at 2026 Loudenvielle World Cup, success aboard the Minion DHX is off to a ripping start!

    3C MaxxGrip

Maxxis’ 3C MaxxGrip compound uses the stickiest, slowest rebounding rubber we offer in a mountain bike tire. This high traction compound is the same one used by our top World Cup Downhill and Enduro World Series athletes and is now available in a variety of casing configurations to cover all riders.

    • 3C MaxxGrip + EXO casing = Light duty trail riding in wet/slick conditions
    • 3C MaxxGrip + EXO+ casing = All-around trail riding in wet/slick conditions
    • 3C MaxxGrip + DoubleDown casing = Enduro racing and e-bikes
    • 3C MaxxGrip + Downhill casing = Downhill racing and long travel e-bikes

    NEW DH

The NEW DH Casing delivers improved compliance over rocks and roots, greater support under hard cornering and impacts, and increased durability—because flat tires are never fast.

On the trail, that means more confidence through technical terrain, a reduced risk of tire and rim damage, and a smoother, more controlled ride that leaves you ready for another lap.

    Key Features

    • Progressive casing stiffness allows tire pressure to be optimized for performance without sacrificing sidewall support or rim protection.
    • Supports lower tire pressures (2–3 PSI less than the previous-generation DH Casing) for enhanced traction, slower tire rebound, and a more planted, damped ride feel.
    • Improved puncture protection.
    • Comparable weight to the previous DH Casing.
    • Dual-ply 120 TPI construction.
    • MaxxGrip rubber compound.
    • Tubeless Ready.
    • E25 and E50 rated.

    Tubeless Ready

Maxxis Tubeless Ready (TR) tires offer better traction, lower rolling resistance, and fewer flats by eliminating the inner tube. Run lower pressures for improved grip and control. Look for the “TR” marking on the sidewall.

Installation Note: Must be used with tubeless-compatible rims and liquid sealant to maintain air pressure and seal small punctures. Check and refresh sealant regularly as it dries over time.

Important: Use sealant only in tubeless road, tubular, or tubeless ready tires. Using it in other Maxxis models voids the warranty.
