Thomas, Gibbs Victorious, with Maxxis Athletes All Over the Podium in Multiple Classes
Maxxis Signs Keegan Kincaid
Trey Gibbs and Mickey Thomas owned the competition at Rounds 3 and 4 of Championship Off-Road, held June 8-9 in Antigo, Wisconsin. Nick Byng, Tyler Remmereid and Jimmy Henderson took podiums in their respective classes, while Ryker Remington won Youth SxS Round 3 and took third place at Round 4.
In other good news for Maxxis at Antigo, the company added Keegan Kincaid to its lineup of sponsored athletes. “I am beyond Grateful to join the MAXXIS Tires Family. We had our first Champoffroad event of the season and I can say the RAZR AT was amazing. With no test time coming into our first event, we were able to come away with two 4th place finishes and a 3rd place Kyle LeDuc Cup podium. I’m thankful for the MAXXIS family and the support I received. I’m looking forward to getting back to our hometown (Crandon) track in a few short weeks with the MAXXIS family.”
Gibbs won both Pro Lite rounds riding Maxxis RAZR AT tires. He’s on a serious hot streak; just four rounds into the season, Gibbs has taken victories at the last three rounds, second place at Round 1 and the lead in points for the class. He was joined on the podium at Round 3 by Remmereid, who took third place.
Thomas, who also rode RAZR ATs, won Pro 2 at Round 3 and took second place the next day. “Mother Nature threw us a curveball yesterday dumping rain on the track right before we had to go out but our @maxxistires kept us in the hunt and we were able to take home our second win of the season!” he said on Instagram.
Jimmy Henderson took second place at Round 4 of the Pro 4 class, while Nick Byng took second place at Super Stock Truck Round 3 on his Maxxis Bravo AT-771 tires.
The Forest County Potawatomi Brush Run, AMSOIL Championship Off-Road Rounds 5 and 6, is scheduled for June 22-23 at Crandon International Raceway in Crandon, Wisconsin.
