Ebert Fourth in T1 at King of the Hammers Desert Challenge

When the notoriously brutal Desert Challenge kicked off this year’s King of the Hammers, Ethan Ebert and co-driver Gatlan Haddon didn’t hold back. Ebert was fourth in the T1 class and seventh in both truck classes at Sunday’s Unlimited race.

His DOT-approved RAZR MT tires delivered a great performance as Ebert and Haddon covered the 182-mile course.

Trey Gibbs and co-driver Trevor Byers also did well on RAZR MTs, taking eighth place in T2 and 13th place overall.

Maxxis’ sponsored athletes Dustin Jones and co-driver Dustin Henderson; Vito Ranuio; Rhowan McGrath; and Doug Mittag and co-driver Drake Mittag all raced B3 on RAZR XT tires. Also riding RAZR XTs was former Major League Baseball pitcher Ian Kennedy.

The week’s action is just getting started, with the Can-Am UTV Hammers Championship and the Race of Kings still to come as the excitement continues through February 3. Fans who aren’t among the estimated 80,000 spectators at the event’s Johnson City, California site can still catch all the action on King of the Hammers’ livestream.
