As Maxxis’ sponsored riders compete in downhill and cross country World Cup races this year, fans can get a glimpse behind the scenes in “Rubber Side Down,” a new web series. 

The six-part series will cover each stop of the World Cup downhill calendar as well as World Championships.  Created in cooperation with Joe Bowman of Steel City Media, producer of the popular “This is Peaty” series, “Rubber Side Down” will follow Maxxis’ athletes and mechanics through a week of practice all the way to race day. 

“This will be a different format than other recap videos in that it will focus more on bike set-up and tire choice,” said Aaron Chamberlain, marketing specialist with Maxxis. “We hope it will provide some insight as to why our athletes choose particular treads for the various tracks.”
