The gorgeous terrain of the Andes Mountains was the setting when two Maxxis-sponsored riders earned places on the podium at Round 1 of the Enduro World Series. Yeti/Fox Shox’ Jared Graves and Rocky Mtn. Urge BP Team’s Florian Nicolai took second and third place at the race, held April 19-20 in Nevados de Chillan, Chile.
Graves won the second of six stages and was in the lead for much of the weekend. He posted a total time just eight seconds behind the first-place rider, with Nicolai taking third with a total just four seconds longer. Nicolai’s teammates Isabeau Courdurier and Alexandre Cure also did well at Round 1, with Courdurier taking fifth place in the women’s race and Cure taking seventh in the men’s event.
Maxxis thanks Jared Graves, Florian Nicolai, Isabeau Courdurier and Alexandre Cure for their fine performances, and wishes them the best at Round 2, scheduled for May 30 – June 1 in Scotland.
