Greenland 3rd, Maxxis’ Riders 8 of Top 10 at Leogang DH World Cup

Laurie Greenland, Troy Brosnan, and Loris Vergier landed on the Elite Men’s podium at the Mercedes Benz DHI World Cup in Leogang, Austria. The three riders took the third, fourth and fifth-place spots on the podium. Other Maxxis-sponsored riders took the remainder of the top ten at the race, held June 10.  Available

MS Mondraker Team’s Greenland earned third place with a 3:12.146-minute run. Canyon Factory Downhill Team’s Brosnan, currently second overall in UCI DH World Cup rankings, took fourth place at Leogang with a final time of 3:12.305. In fifth, Vergier of Santa Cruz Syndicate completed his run in 3:13.121. Unior/Devinci Factory Racing’s Dakotah Norton was sixth with a final time of 3:13.385. Connor Fearon of Kona Factory Team earned seventh place in 3:14.015, while Greenland’s teammates Michael Jones and Brook McDonald were eighth and ninth in 3:14.380 and 3:14.481. Canyon Factory Downhill Team’s Mark Wallace rounded out the top ten with a 3:14.878 run.

The top qualifier, Santa Cruz’ Luca Shaw was the last man on the hill and on-track to win. Unfortunately, a crash near the end of the run took him out of contention.

In the Women’s Elite category, Pivot Factory Racing’s Emilie Siegenthaler earned fifth place with a 3:52.780 run.

Valentina Höll made another appearance at the top of the Junior Women’s podium, with a winning run of 3:56.122. Canyon Factory Downhill Team’s Kye A’hern also earned another Junior Men’s victory at Leogang, winning in 3:19.207.
