After a day in the breakaway, Hugo Houle of Israel – Premier Tech has just had the race of his life, taking the win on Stage 16 of the Tour De France! His teammate, Mike Woods (Israel-Premier Tech) followed closely behind in third place after Hugo had previously attacked to set the table for him. However, Hugo stated “When I saw that they let me go, Mike made a gap. You never know how it will turn out in the breakaway.”

Hugo has pursued a stage victory in the Tour De France for ten years and dedicates this win to his brother who was killed by a drunk driver. “I could not believe it when I crossed the line” said Hugo. “It was what I have been dreaming of for the past ten years. This one is for my brother.”
