Pack of riders in the Kansas hills 2

Keegan Swenson Wins Unbound Gravel

Since 2006, 4,000 riders have flocked to the Flint Hills of Kansas for one weekend each year to compete at Unbound Gravel. Winning this premier gravel race is considered a career achievement for the athlete and the ultimate test of performance and durability for gravel bikes and componentry in the industry.

After an incredibly long day of racing, Maxxis rider Keegan Swenson (Santa Cruz Bicycles) won the Unbound gravel race! Muddy conditions plagued the course, but Keegan had trust in his Maxxis Rambler tires to help carry him through the day and to the finish line. The ten-hour-plus race all came down to a sprint in the end with Keegan pulling ahead of the other riders. Maxxis Factory Racing athlete Haley Smith pushed through the long day into seventh place in the Women’s field – an incredible day for someone who was sick and throwing up during the whole race. She controls the third position in the Life Time Grand Prix rankings, while Keegan slides into first place in the Men’s.

It’s been another great year in Kansas and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the Life Time Grand Prix holds for 2023!
