Maxxis Athletes Bring Their A-Game to Championship Off-Road Elk River

In trucks and side-by-sides, Maxxis’ sponsored athletes took podium after podium at AMSOIL Championship Off-Road Elk River. Rounds 5 and 6 of the series were held July 14-15 at ERX Motor Park in Elk River, Minnesota.

Running Maxxis RAZR AT tires, Adrian Cenni took third place in Friday’s Pro 4 race and holds third place in points. The following day at Round 6, Jimmy Henderson ran the fastest lap of the race with 52.65 and took second place. “The tires are great; they have great grip and hold up really well in competition. The tread life is the best we’ve experienced in Pro4 racing. Our track support is fantastic. Chris and Rossy are very knowledgeable and supportive when it comes to officials, tracks and logistics,” said Henderson.

Mickey Thomas took third place in Pro 2 at both rounds, a performance which vaulted him into the points lead. “The weekend went awesome. Bagging two third-place finishes and gaining the championship points lead was pretty epic. That track at ERX was no joke, but it’s in these tough conditions where the quality and reliability of Maxxis tires truly shines. The Maxxis RAZR AT tire chewed up everything we threw at it, and the traction that the tire provides in every condition has exceeded our expectations. Being part of the Maxxis crew is like having a secret weapon. Those tires just never let me down, and it’s great knowing that the team has my back,” said Thomas.

Trey Gibbs is burning a path to the Pro Lite podium in his rookie year as a Maxxis athlete, taking second place Friday and holding second place in points. Brody Eggleston ran RAZR ATs to take third place Saturday and holds sixth place in class standings.

After mechanical issues forced him to abandon a Super Stock Truck race he had been leading, Nick Byng came back with a vengeance the next day, taking second place. Byng is third in points for Super Stock Truck.

Dylan Parsons chose Maxxis Bravo AT-771 tires for his Pro Spec contests at Elk River. Parsons turned in excellent performances in both of the weekend’s races, taking fourth place Saturday and ranking fourth in points for the class.

Holding fourth place in 570 SxS points and riding Maxxis Ceros tires, Ryker Remington took third place Friday and earned sixth place Saturday.
