Crankworx Rotorua: Rheeder Wins Maxxis Slopestyle; Verbeeck, Wright, Hines Take Victories; Verbeeck Named Queen of Crankworx; Six Podiums for Maxxis at Enduro World Series
The first stop on the Crankworx World Tour was packed with highlights for Maxxis. Brett Rheeder started his first year as a Maxxis-sponsored rider with a win at the Maxxis Slopestyle in Memory of McGazza; Keegan Wright won men’s dual slalom; Vaea Verbeeck topped the podium in women’s dual slalom and Air DH; and Kialani Hines took the victory in women’s pump track. Maxxis-sponsored riders took six additional podiums, and Verbeeck capped her triumphant week by taking the lead in the Queen of Crankworx competition, with Wright taking second place in the King of Crankworx rankings. The first of the season’s three Crankworx events was held March 19-24 in Rotorua, New Zealand.
