Maxxis Takes 3 of Top 5 ATV MX Pro Overall

Chad Wienen’s third straight championship is the crowning achievement of an ATV MX season that saw Maxxis’ riders in the overall top ten for multiple categories.

With a season total of 430 points, Wienen had a 91-point margin over the next rider. The Maxxis-sponsored champ won seven of the season’s nine races and took second place in the other two. His teammate Thomas Brown also did well for the season, taking third place in overall Pro standings and taking a race win in addition to four podium spots. Josh Upperman rounded out the overall Pro top five. Vechery Racing’s Tyler Hamrick took both ninth place in Pro and third place in Pro Am.

Two other Maxxis riders cracked the Pro Am top ten: Nick Gennusa took fifth place, while Cody Janssen took ninth. Janssen was also AMA Pro ATV Rookie of the Year. Katie Mette rode Maxxis to second place in the Women’s class.

Young Gunner Tebon took second place in two classes, Super Mini 15 and 90 Open Sr., and took fifth place in 90 Shifter 12-15. Media Allstars’ Chase Cunningham was fourth in Jr. 25+.

Maxxis congratulates Chad Wienen on his third straight championship and thanks all of these riders for a season of fine performances.
