Pendrel, Rochette Win BC Bike Race Women’s Duo

Posting a winning margin of more than a minute, the Luna Pro Team’s Catharine Pendrel and Maghalie Rochette topped the Women’s Duo podium at the BC Bike Race. The seven-stage race was held June 29 – July 5 in British Columbia, Canada.

According to cyclingnews.com, Pendrel and Rochette “were dominant in their category as Pendrel set a challenging pace for her enthusiastic apprentice Rochette.” Rochette praised both Pendrel and the event: “From the gun, we went pretty fast on the first long climb in the goal to take the lead and we worked hard all the way to the end and managed to take the win. The whole BCBR experience was fantastic! The organization was A1; we met so many cool people from around the world, camped outside for seven days and had a blast shredding the single-tracks together. I am so grateful that I had the chance to do the race with Catharine; she literally is a hero, and I learnt a lot from her incredibly good attitude and awesome racing/riding skills all week!”

Pendrel took another turn on the podium when she won the Women’s Enduro category.

Maxxis congratulates Catharine Pendrel and Maghalie Rochette on their victory and all other Maxxis riders who attended this event.
