Piplic Sets World Record on Bighorn 2.0 Tires

Over the years, Maxxis tires have taken scores of riders to racing victory. Now, Ryan Piplic has taken Maxxis to a stellar new first as he rode Bighorn 2.0 tires for a world record Side x Side jump.  The jump followed Piplic’s win on Ceros tires in the Ultimate UTV Challenge at the Second Annual Fuel Fest, held November 2 in St. George, Utah.

Piplic added 26 feet to the previous world record, jumping 155.66 feet. The record-setting jump was his second of the night.  “I did 130 feet in my first run as a crowd pleaser, but my second run, I put everything on the line and stopped looking at my speed at 75mph, and I made it, my car made it, didn’t flip,” he told Polaris. Piplic, who finished second for the season in WORCS’ SxS Pro Production class, is next scheduled to compete in SCORE’s Baja 1000 November 14-17.

Maxxis congratulates Ryan Piplic on setting a new world record and on his victory in the Ultimate UTV Challenge.
