Silver State 300 Victory

Kyle Chaney Wins Best in the Desert Silver State 300 on RAZR XT 35” Tires

Kyle Chaney took the win in the Silver State 300, part of Best in the Desert series, running a flawless race from start to finish and crossing the line in 5:07:03 in Tonopah, Nevada.

Up against some of the best athletes in UTV racing and with only seconds separating racers, Chaney kept the pace he needed for victory while avoiding costly errors. His Maxxis RAZR XT 35” tires helped him immensely, allowing him to get to the finish line with no tire issues. “I chose to run the Maxxis RAZR XT for the Silver State 300. The tire provided great grip on the small, marble-gravel terrain of Tonopah. Other than the grip, it gave me confidence because of the tough sidewall while going through the sharp rocky sections of the course,” Chaney said.

With this result, Chaney, who has proven his mettle in multiple racing disciplines, continues to best the competition in major desert events. In 2025, he was the first driver to win King of the Hammers on a UTV.

“Kyle’s performance at the Silver State 300 is a true testament to his talent, discipline, and ability to adapt across racing environments,” said Rossy De La Cruz, sponsorship and sales specialist for Maxxis Tires. “To go from dominating in the rocks to winning in the desert against such a stacked field speaks volumes. We’re proud to be part of his program and to see the RAZR XT perform at the highest level when it matters most.”

Chaney wasn’t the only athlete who made Maxxis proud at the Silver State 300. Also running Maxxis RAZR XT 35” tires, Cody Miller took fourth place, while Dustin “Battle Axe” Jones rounded out the UTV Pro top 10. Code St. Peter took second place in UTV Pro Stock on RAZR XT 33” tires. Also on RAZR XT 33” tires, Todd Zuccone took second place in UTV Pro Stock Modified, and Dallas Theobald ran his first Unlimited Trophy Spec race on 40” RAZR MT competition tires, making the top ten in ninth place.
