Sohren’s Wins Baja 500 in Maxxis Ford EcoBoost F-150

Pistol Pete Sohren has taken his first-ever SCORE Baja 500 victory. Sohren rode Maxxis’ 40-inch Trepadors across the finish line in 12.00.20.226 hours, 4 hours ahead of the next driver. The SCORE Baja 500 was held June 5-8 in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.

Sohren, who competed in the 7 class, said that his tires were up to the challenges of Baja. “It was a very difficult course because it was very technical, so it had a fairly low finishing percentage,” Sohren said. “We gave two 40-inch Trepador [spares] a ride around the truck on the back, but we never had to use them because we never had a flat. The track had a lot of silty sections where a lot of people got stuck, but not us.” Sohren was joined in Baja by co-riders Eric Clay and T.K. McNeil and by fellow driver Jason McNeil.

The team is following an ambitious schedule throughout this season, as they compete in both SCORE and Best in the Desert races. The most recent win was the third of the year for Sohren’s Baja Racing Adventures crew.

Maxxis congratulates Pete Sohren and his team on their latest victory and wishes them the best in their upcoming races.
