Team Maxxis 4x4 Wins Tropical Forest Championship

Team Maxxis 4×4 took the victory in the 4×4 Limited Modification class at the 2015 Tropical Forest Challenge. The Challenge was held August 28-31 in conjunction with Malaysia’s 58th National Day Celebration, and was supported and endorsed by Malaysia’s Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Riding the only vehicle equipped with Maxxis M8060 Trepador Bias 35” tires, the Maxxis team bested ten other 4x4s in its class. Drivers completed six special stages on a course designed for speed challenges, along with deep ruts, a V gully and several speed and tree trunk jumps. Team Maxxis clocked the fastest lap time and led for the entire first stage, set in a forest reserve in Kahang, approximately 30 kilometers outside the town of Kluang.

The remaining five stages were held at the prologue site and featured manmade obstacles. The team’s M8060 Trepador Bias tires proved to be a big plus: Unlike their competitors, the Maxxis team could cross deep ruts without winching.  This advantage, in addition to teamwork, skill and experience, let Team Maxxis 4×4 overcome all obstacles to claim the win, despite the hindrance of heavier vehicles and lower gearing ratios.

Maxxis congratulates Team Maxxis 4×4 on their championship and wishes them the best in all their upcoming activities.
