TIBCO Wins NRC Team Title, Stephens Wins Individual

In a double triumph, the Maxxis-sponsored Team TIBCO has won USA Cycling’s NRC title, while team member Lauren Stephens took the individual rider NRC title.

Stephens and her teammates secured their titles with their performance at the Cascade Classic, held July 15-20 in Bend, Oregon. Stephens took the overall victory after winning the time trial and the first four stages of the race, and taking third in the fifth and final stage. TIBCO was first in the team GC at the race, an outcome which clinched the NRC team title. Stephens’ individual title is all the more impressive in light of the fact that she was forced to miss two NRC races due to an injury.

“It’s an honor to win the NRC individual title, and even more so to help the team win the NRC overall in the process,” Stephens said. “It’s impossible to earn individual honors without the support of the whole team. And that includes staff and sponsors. So winning the NRC is as much an achievement for my teammates as it is for me.”

Maxxis congratulates Lauren Stephens and all of the riders of Team TIBCO, and thanks them for choosing the brand of champions.
