UHC’s Hanson Wins Both Stages of Tour of America’s Dairyland

UnitedHealthcare’s Ken Hanson won two stages of the Tour of America’s Dairyland, held June 21-22 in Wisconsin. Team TIBCO’s Samantha Schneider, who leads the series in women’s points, also did well during the weekend with a victory and a second-place spot on the podium.

Teamwork was crucial to both victories. The Blue Train helped Hanson win in a late-race sprint at the Giro d’Grafton, with teammate Luke Keough in second place. “The boys rode perfectly tonight and executed the lead-out for the win. I owe the win to the team for riding so well and setting up the sprint for Luke and me,” said Hanson. Teammate Luke Keough took a close second place.

At the Carl Zach Cycling Classic in Waukesha the following day, the entire Blue Train moved aggressively to the front of the pack to catch breakaway riders and again set up Hanson for a victory, with Luke Keough taking third place. “We pulled it off, but it certainly wasn’t an easy race,” said UHC rider Karl Menzies, “After a few crashes in Tulsa, it’s nice to get back into our routine and come away with two clean, hard-fought wins for the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team.”

Maxxis congratulates Ken Hanson on his fantastic victory and thanks all of the riders of the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team for their outstanding performances.
