Wienen Ties Series Record with Eighth ATV MX Pro Championship

AMA Pro Racing ATV MX National Championship legend Chad Wienen has done it again, taking an eighth title and tying the record of the legendary Gary Denton for series championships.

Wienen (Wienen Motorsports/Maxxis/SSi Decals/Fly Racing/Yamaha) clinched his title by going 2-2 at the season’s last round in Nashport, Ohio, riding Maxxis Razr Plus MX tires. He earned a total of 440 points for the year and won the championship by a 16 point-margin. Wienen took first place in four of the season’s ten rounds and took second place in the other six. His ATV MX titles are not his only championships; as part of Team USA, Wienen has won three Quadcross of European Nations championships.

Maxxis rider Bryce Ford (Ford Brothers Racing/Fly/SSi Decals/Maxxis/DWT/Maxima/Fourwerx/Walsh) was third in points for the year. Ford took fifth place at Briarcliff after going 4-5 in the two motos.
