Wyatt “WYO” Fontenot and Patrick Evans ended the 2026 X Games Season on a high note for Maxxis. Fontenot earned his first X Games gold medal, winning Moto X Best Whip at last weekend’s games in his native Louisiana, while Evans added to his own medal count with a bronze in Moto X Best Trick. X Games New Orleans was held July 24-26 at the Caesars Superdome.

Both athletes trusted Maxxis Maxxcross MX IH tires for the New Orleans event.

“We worked hard for this. This is such an amazing feeling,” Fontenot told Cycle News.

While the most recent medal is his first gold, it’s his second X Games medal; he won the bronze for Best Whip in June at X Games Sacramento.
