CJ Greaves, Heger Win on Maxxis RAZR AT Tires at Championship Off-Road Bark River

Driving trucks outfitted with Maxxis RAZR AT tires, CJ Greaves and Brock Heger topped the podium at AMSOIL Championship Off-Road Rounds 9 and 10, held August 14-15 in Bark River, Michigan. Also equipping their trucks with RAZR ATs were fellow Maxxis-sponsored drivers Mickey Thomas, Dillon Pointon, and Doug Mittag, who took podium spots at Bark River.

CJ Greaves swept the weekend’s Pro 4 class. He spent much of Round 9 gunning for his father Johnny Greaves’ lead, until a mechanical issue forced the elder Greaves to drop out of the race. Johnny again took an early lead Sunday but was overtaken by CJ, who held the front spot through the finish line, with Mittag in second place. The victories were CJ’s fourth and fifth Pro 4 wins on the season.

Engine problems plagued Heger in Saturday’s Pro Lite race, but Sunday was a different story, as he took the victory at Round 10. Heger also won both the weekend’s Pro Stock SxS races, with CJ Greaves and Jacob Rosales in second and third places on Sunday for a Maxxis podium sweep.

Pointon made two trips to the podium, taking second place in Pro Lite Saturday and third place Sunday. In Round 9’s Pro 2 race, Thomas battled his way to the finish line just a little over one second after the winning rider to take second place.

In points for the season to date, CJ Greaves leads the Pro 4 class, with Johnny Greaves, Mittag, Adrian Cenni and Kyle Chaney holding the fifth through eighth spots. Heger tops the Pro Lite class, with Pointon in third place. Heger also leads in Pro Stock SxS points, with CJ in second place. Thomas is currently sixth in Pro 2 rankings.

The next rounds of the AMSOIL Championship Off-Road season are scheduled for September 4-5 at Crandon International Raceway in Crandon, Wisconsin.
